Phishing gangs are already lining up to impersonate a brand almost no one recognises yet, because unfamiliarity is exactly what makes their scams work. And if Wero becomes a real rival to Visa and Mastercard, Danny expects merchants to pay more over time — which, eventually, means consumers will too.
